Personal Property Insurance Broker (Sales Department)

Main Functions

  • Shop insurance for clients and negotiate with insurers
  • Advise clients according to their needs
  • Apply/comply with underwriting standards
  • Answer client questions
  • Analyze client needs

Working conditions:

  • Possibility of teleworking
  • Work schedule that gives you one day off every 2 weeks. You work 72 hours/2 weeks, condensed into 9 work days.
  • In addition to this:
    • 11 paid statutory holidays per year (+1 day if December 24 and 31 fall on a weekday)
    • 3 weeks of annual vacation from the moment you are hired (may vary depending on experience)
    • 6 flexible days off per year (for illness and other) **paid if not taken

  • The salary offered includes a base rate and sales commissions (therefore varies depending on performance)

The bilingualism criterion is also very important. For English, we are looking for a functional/high level, meaning that the broker must be able to serve an English-speaking client well.

Having a property and casualty insurance broker's license and/or experience in the field is an asset, but is not a hiring criterion. We offer the necessary training to obtain a personal property and casualty insurance license for candidates with the required profile, but who do not yet have their license. To be eligible, the candidate must have, at a minimum, a high school diploma and 3 years of relevant full-time work experience.
