Summary of responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Senior Vice President of Specialized Insurance, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders within the aviation insurance damage department.
Specific responsibilities
1. Handle new business and renewals within the prescribed deadlines.
2. Ensure customer retention.
3. Conduct risk analysis, review coverage, and identify necessary changes or omissions from the last renewal.
4. Prepare, review, and send various insurance documents (quotes, cover notes, invoices, certificates of insurance, endorsements, etc.).
5. Prepare insurance proposals for the previous year and for the new year.
6. Collect information to update clients.
7. Collaborate with the producer to develop marketing strategies.
8. Provide exceptional customer service.
9. Negotiate renewal terms and changes (endorsements) with insurers.
10. Collect accounts receivable in collaboration with the finance department.
11. Follow up on recommendations made by insurers and inform the producer of any issues.
12. Assist clients with claims and report them to the claims department or insurer.
13. Perform any other related tasks.
Requirements
1. Hold a valid broker’s license and a RIBO license;
2. Have 1 to 3 years of experience in aviation or 5 to 8 years of experience in commercial insurance brokerage;
3. Excellent customer service skills;
4. Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
5. Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, to regularly serve the Quebec and Western Canada markets;
6. Excellent proficiency in the MS Office suite;
7. Knowledge of the EPIC software is an asset;
8. Must be based in Montreal or Western Canada;
9. Availability for travel.
